Women, Bodies, Generations:
This exhibition at the Glass Tank Gallery, Oxford Brookes University in April 2019 aimed to bring together the individual practices of three mid-career female artists – Lisa Richardson, Clair Chinnery, Janice Howard.
This this exhibition provided a platform for audiences to consider and discuss the social positioning of ‘women of a certain age’ whose lives and identities pivot on the cusp of ‘change’; whether in the ‘normal’ processes of bodily ageing or incurred by life-altering happenstance internal or external.
